Hey everyone. For years, I've been debating whether or not to do a blog, while most people I know just go on and create it. Some people love it and update it every day on what's happening in the world. Some find it a cathartic release of inner emotions. Others do it to celebrate or honor something.
I am a perfectionist to a fault. It sometimes bottles my instincts to just do what I should do. Even if it fails or succeeds. Many people who are close to me have suggested that I do a blog and they are right. It's time to take the plunge.
As a sportswriter, I can find many topics related to this world I find fascinating and insane (hence the title)just to start writing about. But as I kept thinking, there are many topics outside the sportsworld to just be, well, pissed off about. And once this site gets going, I will post on what makes me mad in sports and on other topics.
It's not hard to find such things to make you mad.
Like in the famous Simpsons episode "Marge vs. the Monorail" (written by the outstanding Conan O'Brien), our lovable Homer tries to stop the runaway monorail tran from crashing. He looks at his son Bart and imagines him as an anchor that would solve the problem. Bart knows this is happening and while Homer imagines him as a large anchor, Bart mouths off "Think harder Homer."
It won't take long. See it just happened right now. I wrote too long on my first post. Damn insanity!
